Regular Season Round 11: Agua Prieta - Guasave 88-98

There was no surprise in Agua Prieta where 10th ranked Vaqueros (2-8) were defeated by fourth ranked Frayles de Guasave (7-3) 98-88 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard DK Eldridge (188, college: N.Mexico St.) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists. American forward Dominique Keller (205-88, college: Illinois) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and Mathew Kemp scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Frayles de Guasave moved-up to second place, which they share with Hermosillo and Guaymas. Vaqueros lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Frayles de Guasave will meet at home Fuerza Guinda Nogales (#6) in the next round. Vaqueros will have a break next round.
