The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Frayles de Guasave as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Lobos UAD Mazatlan) loss. Frayles de Guasave edged 6th ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales at home 92-91. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and guard DK Eldridge (188, college: N.Mexico St.) accounted for 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. Frayles de Guasave's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and forward Jumaine Jones (202-79, college: Georgia) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Fuerza Guinda Nogales in the defeat. Frayles de Guasave have a solid series of four victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Hermosillo. Fuerza Guinda Nogales at the other side dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Fuerza Guinda Nogales will play next round against strong Lobos UAD Mazatlan trying to get back on the winning streak. Frayles de Guasave will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Rayos de Hermosillo on the road.
