Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#4) and Mgzavrebi (#6). Mgzavrebi was defeated at home 82-89 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Dinamo Tbilisi players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Mgzavrebi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian swingman Maksim Kovacevic (196-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) supported him with 17 points. Even 21 points and 6 rebounds by American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185, college: Sam Houston St.) did not help to save the game for Mgzavrebi. Levani Grdzelidze (185-94) added 15 points. Five Dinamo Tbilisi and four Mgzavrebi players scored in double figures. Mgzavrebi's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dinamo Tbilisi (14-10) moved-up to third place, which they share with Sokhumi. Mgzavrebi lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 13 games lost. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi MIA.
