Regular Season Round 51: Takamatsu FA - Okinawa GK 80-93

Leader Okinawa GK delivered the 35th victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Takamatsu FA (11-33) 93-80. It looked good early as Takamatsu FA took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Okinawa GK had a 24-16 second period charge getting the lead and Takamatsu FA was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-93. Okinawa GK made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds. Swingman Shuhei Kitagawa (185-85) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Okinawa GK's coach Tsutomu Isa allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) answered with 31 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) added 26 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Okinawa GK (35-10) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place. Takamatsu FA lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 33 games lost. Okinawa GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Takamatsu FA will play again at home against the league's leader Okinawa GK (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
