Regular Season Round 27: Treviglio - Trieste 93-101

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Trieste and 7th ranked Treviglio had identical 14-12 record. But Treviglio was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Trieste 101-93 on Sunday night. Trieste dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Treviglio's 40. They outrebounded Treviglio 45-34 including 31 on the defensive glass. Trieste looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: N.C.Central, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Roberto Nelson (190-91, college: Oregon St.) helped adding 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was guard Tommaso Marino (192-86) with 25 points and 8 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Lithuanian swingman Paulius Sorokas (200-92, agency: Players Group) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Trieste (15-12) moved-up to seventh place in A2. Loser Treviglio dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Trieste will face Aurora Bsk Jesi (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Treviglio will play against C.de Latte BRE (#3) in Brescia and hope to win that game.
