Regular Season Round 27: Forli - San Miniato 85-86

Date: April 3, 2016
The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Forli (22-5) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by tenth ranked San Miniato (14-13) 86-85. It was a great evening for naturalized Argentinian Bruno Santiago (190-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Roberto Bertolini (198-86) helped adding 14 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Paolo Rotondo (204-89, agency: Players Group) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and guard Davide Bonacini (190-90) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Five San Miniato and four Forli players scored in double figures. Forli's coach Luigi Garelli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted San Miniato maintains tenth place in B with 14-13 record. Forli at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. San Miniato are looking forward to face higher ranked Rimini (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Forli will play against Valsesia (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
