There was no surprise in Barcellona where 16th ranked La Briosa BRC (6-21) was defeated by eleventh ranked Novipiu Casale (13-14) 71-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Novipiu Casale. La Briosa BRC was better in second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard TJ Bray (197-92, college: Princeton) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. The former international guard Brett Blizzard (191-80, college: NC-Wilmington, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was naturalized Argentinian swingman Franco Migliori (199-82) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward David Loubeau (203-89, college: Texas A&M) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Novipiu Casale moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser La Briosa BRC keeps the sixteenth position with 21 games lost. Novipiu Casale will face higher ranked Agropoli (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
