Regular Season Round 27: Trecate - Piacenza 47-80

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Trecate (1-26) was outplayed at home by second ranked Piacenza (22-5) 80-47 on Sunday. Piacenza had a 37-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for power forward Francesco Infante (202-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Mattia Magrini (190-93) helped adding 20 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Piacenza players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Emanuele Gerli (195-90) with 4 points and 17 rebounds and guard Riccardo Peroni (182-92) scored 11 points. Trecate's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Piacenza keeps a position of B leader. Newly promoted Trecate keeps the sixteenth place with 26 games lost. Piacenza will face Oleggio (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trecate will play against Santarcangelo (#7) and hope to win that game.
