There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Ironi Ramat Gan (16-9) defeated on the road 4th placed Hapoel Afula (17-8) 79-75. Ironi Ramat Gan forced 19 Hapoel Afula turnovers. American guard Nate Miller (193-87, college: Bowling Green, agency: Inception Sports) nailed 24 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 9 steals for the winning side and D.J. Sharp (-96) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Adir Cohen (180-95) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Hapoel Afula in the defeat. Five Hapoel Afula players scored in double figures. Ironi Ramat Gan have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Hapoel Afula at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Ironi Ramat Gan will play against Hapoel Kazrin (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hapoel Afula will play against Ironi Ashkelon (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
