Mogi held off Universo/Vitoria to secure 2-0 lead. The hosts were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 22-7 run, which allowed them to win the game. Mogi dominated on the defensive end, holding Universo/Vitoria to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Naturalized American Shamell Stallworth (195-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) notched 19 points to lead the effort and American forward Tyrone Curnell (203-88, college: Valdosta St.) supported him with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 9 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists by Ghanian guard Kojo Mensah (185-85, college: Buffalo St.) did not help to save the game for Universo/Vitoria.
