Jena held off Chemnitz to open win count in the playoffs. Science City Jena forced 25 BV Chemnitz 99 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Immanuel McElroy (194-80, college: Cincinnati) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 assists. Guard Marcos Knight (188-89, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Science City Jena's coach Bjoern Harmsen used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Greg Logins (203-88, college: Canisius, agency: HMS) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Stacy Wilson (190-90, college: Murray St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 20 points in the effort for BV Chemnitz 99.
