There was an upset in Madrid where higher ranked UCAM Jairis (15-10) was rolled over by twelfth ranked Olimpico 64 (7-18) 72-53 on Saturday. The game without a history. Olimpico 64 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Olimpico 64 forced 19 UCAM Jairis turnovers. Point guard Esther Molinero (165-93) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Carlota Egusquiza (182-87) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Olimpico 64 players scored in double figures. Olimpico 64's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Isabel Perez (188-90) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and forward Victoria Robles (179-91) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Olimpico 64 moved-up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with Segle XXI. Loser UCAM Jairis keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Olimpico 64 will face higher ranked Picken Claret (#9) in Valencia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UCAM Jairis will play at home against ASEFA Estudiantes (#8) and hope to win that game.
