Regular Season Round 26: Kavala - PAOK 74-87

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked PAOK (13-13) beat on the road bottom-ranked Kavala (5-21) 87-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by PAOK. Kavala managed to win third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international swingman Kostas Vasiliadis (200-84) notched 22 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and American power forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: Cent.Florida) supported him with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Even 14 points and 7 assists by American point guard Tyler Laser (185-88, college: E.Illinois) did not help to save the game for Kavala. Belizean-American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Four PAOK and five Kavala players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PAOK have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-13 record. Kavala lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 21 lost games.
