No shocking result in a game when third ranked Akita Happinets (33-15) edged on the road 10th ranked Yokohama BC (18-30) 76-74 on Sunday. Yokohama BC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman Richard Roby (198-85, agency: CGL Sports) who scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Yuto Otsuka (188-90) chipped in 20 points. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) who recorded 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Kenji Yamada (180-83) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Akita Happinets have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 33-15 record having just two points less than leader Okinawa GK, which they share with Hamamatsu P. Yokohama BC lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 30 games lost. Akita Happinets will face Aomori Watts (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite.
