Regular Season Round 28: Bergamo - Padova 65-63

Eighth-ranked Padova (13-15) made lots of trouble for third ranked Bergamo (22-6) on Sunday. Bergamo managed to secure only two-point victory 65-63. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Padova. Tommaso Milani (190-88) fired 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian Mario Jose Ghersetti (201-81) chipped in 17 points. Power forward Francesco Tuci (204-92) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Serbian point guard Stevan Stojkov (182-89) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bergamo maintains third position in B with 22-6 record having just three points less than leader Roma E-basket. Newly promoted Padova keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Bergamo are looking forward to face Crema (#4) on the road in the next round. Padova will play against Desio (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
