Leader Stelmet delivered the twenty fourth win on Wednesday night. This time they beat 12th ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (11-18) 70-58. The game without a history. Stelmet led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) fired 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Romanian Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Curtis Millage (188-81, college: Arizona St.) produced 10 points and Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85, agency: 011 Sports) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 24-4 record. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Stelmet are looking forward to face PGE Turow (#9) in Zgorzelec in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will play again on the road against the league's leader Stelmet in Zielona Gora and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
