Regular Season Round 28: Nishinomiya S. - Hiroshima D. 78-72
Date: April 14, 2016
There was a small surprise in Hyogo where eleventh ranked Nishinomiya S. (12-36) won against 9th ranked Dragonflies (16-36) 78-72 on Thursday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-13. But Dragonflies won third quarter 26-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) who added 10 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and the former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds.
