Sampaio outgunned America de Recife in the decisive third game of the series and sealed their Finals appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Sampaio. America de Recife managed to win third quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sampaio held America de Recife to an opponent 24.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.0 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Iziane Castro Marques (182-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Erica Wheeler (170-91, college: Rutgers) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Sampaio's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
