Regular Season Round 28: Amsterdam - Den Bosch 63-71

Date: April 14, 2016
The game in Amsterdam was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Den Bosch (16-12) played at the court of 5th ranked Amsterdam (10-17). Den Bosch managed to secure a 8-point victory 71-63 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 24-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Den Bosch outrebounded Amsterdam 50-30 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Canadian forward Dejan Kravic (211-90, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and international point guard Leon Williams (183-91, agency: Court Side) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international Nikki Hulzebos (205-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Dimeo Van Der Horst (195-91) scored 20 points. Four Amsterdam players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 16-12 record. Loser Amsterdam keeps the fifth place with 17 games lost. Den Bosch will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Amsterdam will play against Groningen (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
