Regular Season Round 28: Hyeres-Toulon - Lille 61-75

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Hyeres-Toulon (21-7) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Lille Metropole (14-14) 75-61. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hyeres-Toulon. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-61. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Ronald Slay (203-81, college: Tennessee, agency: David Lee services) who added 15 points during the contest. Five Lille Metropole players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Chris Dowe (193-91, college: Bellarmine) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette, agency: HMS) scored 16 points. Hyeres-Toulon's coach Kyle Milling rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lille Metropole have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 14-14 record. Hyeres-Toulon at the other side still keeps top place with seven games lost. Lille Metropole are looking forward to face higher ranked Poitiers (#8) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Saint Chamond (#14) and is hoping to win this game.
