Regular Season Round 28: Tsukuba R. - Nishinomiya S. 89-84
Date: April 16, 2016
Bottom-ranked Tsukuba R. managed to get a eighth victory. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Nishinomiya S. 89-84. It looked good early as Nishinomiya S. took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Tsukuba R. had a 27-21 second period charge getting the lead and Nishinomiya S. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 84-89. The winners were led by Senegalese center Aziz N'Diaye (213-88, college: Washington) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Juan Pattillo (201-88, college: W.Kentucky) supported him with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Four Tsukuba R. players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds by American Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for Nishinomiya S.. Point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) added 13 points for lost side. Nishinomiya S.'s coach Yasunori Ueda rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tsukuba R. maintains twelfth position with 8-43 record. Nishinomiya S. at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 36 games lost. Tsukuba R. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nishinomiya S. will play on the road against Mitsubishi Dolphins (#7) in Nagoya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
