There was a surprise result in Wonthella where ninth ranked Buccaneers (4-3) beat one of their biggest challengers Flames (4-3) 101-95 on Saturday. Buccaneers made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while Flames only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Flames were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Maurice Barrow (196-92, college: Fairfield) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Guard Matthew Adekponya (194-90) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Cooper Land (205-88, college: Wright St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ryan Godfrey (187-90, college: W.Georgia) added 21 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Buccaneers moved-up to seventh place in League. Buccaneers will face higher ranked Stirling S. (#3) in Perth in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
