There was an upset when higher ranked Tenerife Naut. (15-8) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked La Roda (8-15) 89-74 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-74. La Roda dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tenerife Naut.'s 38. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tenerife Naut.'s players. Tenerife Naut.'s coach tested eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. La Roda moved-up to tenth place in Group B, which they share with Estudiantes B. Loser Tenerife Naut. keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. La Roda will face higher ranked Real Madrid II (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tenerife Naut. will play against the league's second-placed Alcazar and will have a slim chance for a victory.
