Regular Season Round 26: Martorell - Barbera 83-72

There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Martorell (8-9) won against at home second-ranked Barbera (11-6) 83-72 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Martorell. Barbera was better in fourth quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Martorell forced 22 Barbera turnovers. American guard D'Von Campbell (185-92, college: Campbellsville) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ruben Morales (193-85) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Center Luis Lopez (205-95) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Anton Regal (202-93) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Martorell moved-up to seventh place in Group C Perman, which they share with Sant Nicolau. Newly promoted Barbera keeps the second position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
