Bauru cruised past Pinheiros to open 2-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Paschoalotto/Bauru. Pinheiros managed to win second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paschoalotto/Bauru shot 62.7 percent from the field. Paschoalotto/Bauru outrebounded Pinheiros 39-23 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Pinheiros' players. The best player for the winners was naturalized Italian point guard Paulinho Boracini (183-84) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 assists. The former international center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) chipped in 29 points (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach Demetrius Ferraciu felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) produced 20 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Co.Carolina) added 18 points and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
