Regular Season Round 57: Shiga L-Stars - Takamatsu FA 93-80

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (34-17) defeated at home 11th ranked Takamatsu FA (11-40) 93-80 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Shiga L-Stars. Takamatsu FA was better in second period 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Yu Okada (184-83) chipped in 23 points. Shiga L-Stars' coach Tohyama Kohto used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) added 24 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to third place, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Akita NH. Takamatsu FA lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 40 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face again Takamatsu FA (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
