Regular Season Round 27: Rosalia - Betanzos 83-54

Everything could happen in Santiago de Camp. at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Rosalia and 11th ranked Betanzos had identical 5-15 record. This time Rosalia used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Betanzos 83-54 on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 48-17 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 4 assists. Forward Pablo Posse (203-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Rosalia players scored in double figures. Jose Miguel Perez (202-96) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and center Marcos Rozas (202-83) added 8 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Betanzos. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Rosalia (6-15) moved-up to ninth place in Group A-B, which they share with Chantada. Loser Betanzos dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Rosalia will face higher ranked Estudiantes L. (#8) in Lugo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Betanzos will play at home against Leon (#5) and hope to win that game.
