Regular Season Round 25: Mazatlan - Obregon 106-80

The game between third ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (15-9) and 9th ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (8-14) in Mazatlan ended with biggest points difference. Lobos UAD Mazatlan outscored guests from Ciudad Obregon 106-80. Lobos UAD Mazatlan outrebounded Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon 32-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. American forward Ross Rivera (201, college: Pacific) fired 21 points for the winners. Canadian forward Marvell Waithe (205-87, college: Arkansas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized American swingman Adam Arciniega (201, college: Bethel, KS) produced 23 points and American point guard Malcolm Canada (191, college: Auburn) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Lobos UAD Mazatlan and four Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lobos UAD Mazatlan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 15-9 record having just two point less than leader Hermosillo. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's next round opponent will be Caballeros de Culiacan (#4) at home. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon will play against Vaqueros (#10) in Agua Prieta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
