Regular Season Round 57: Sendai 89ers - Akita NH 87-83

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sendai. Second ranked Sendai 89ers faced 3rd placed Akita Happinets. Host Sendai 89ers (37-14) defeated guests from Akita (34-17) 87-83. Akita Happinets were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 25-17 charge of Sendai 89ers, which allowed them to win the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds.
