Regular Season Round 27: Arenys - Miramar 68-66

EBA round 27 caused change at the leadership position. Sixth defeat of league's leader Miramar (12-6) against ninth ranked Arenys (7-11) 68-66 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Miramar. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Miramar won third quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for power forward Marc Bauza (204-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Aritz Tomas (186-86) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Arenys players scored in double figures. Arenys' coach Cesar Saura used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Carlos Poyatos (207-94) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Javier Medori (200-93) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Miramar. Arenys maintains ninth place in Group C Perman with 7-11 record. Newly promoted Miramar dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Masnou. They were replaced at the leadership position by San Fernando. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
