There was no surprise in Nagoya where 11th ranked Nishinomiya S. (12-38) was crushed by seventh ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (25-27) 96-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Mitsubishi Dolphins. Nishinomiya S. was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mitsubishi Dolphins had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) who scored 16 points and 5 assists. Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) chipped in 19 points. Four Mitsubishi Dolphins players scored in double figures. Forward Shinnosuke Negoro (195-87) produced 10 points and 7 rebounds and American center Dillion Sneed (203-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitsubishi Dolphins have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 25-27 record. Nishinomiya S. at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 38 games lost. Mitsubishi Dolphins will face higher ranked Hokkaido L. (#6) in Saporro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nishinomiya S. will play on the road against Hitachi Sunrockers (#5) in Tokyo and hope to win that game.
