Regular Season Round 58: Gunma - Fukushima 56-74

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Gunma (22-30) lost at home to sixth ranked Fukushima (30-22) 74-56 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukushima. Gunma was better in second period 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a very good performance for American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Masaya Karimata (178-88) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) added 12 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for Gunma. Fukushima moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Loser Gunma keeps the ninth position with 30 games lost.
