Breogan toppled Coruna on the road to level things up at 1-1. Leyma Basquet trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 29-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-90 at the end of the game. Lithuanian forward Osvaldas Matulionis (200-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) notched 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and American-Cape Verdean point guard Jeffrey Xavier (189-85, college: Providence) supported him with 13 points and 4 assists. Even 17 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by Georgian Beka Burjanadze (202-94) did not help to save the game for Leyma Basquet. American guard Zach Monaghan (188-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) added 13 points and 7 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Leyma Basquet's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
