Regular Season Round 27: Barbera - Pardinyes-L. 61-69

There was a minor upset when 3rd placed Barbera (11-7) lost to sixth ranked Pardinyes-L. (10-8) in Barcelona 61-69 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-11. But Barbera won second period 16-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for guard Edgar Solsona (190-90) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Center Eduard Villacampa (204-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Albert Mas (190-87) answered with 19 points and point guard Francesc Cairo (185-83) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Barbera. Pardinyes-L. moved-up to fourth place in Group C Perman, which they share with Andorra II. Newly promoted Barbera keeps the third position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
