Regular Season Round 30: Boulazac - Le Portel 78-57

The most important game in the last round took place in Boulazac between third ranked Le Portel (18-12) and sixth ranked Boulazac Basket (17-13) on Tuesday night. Le Portel was crushed by Boulazac Basket on the road 57-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Le Portel. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. Le Portel managed to win third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Aurelien Salmon (202-87) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American center Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Gary Chathuant (190-83) added 15 points in the effort for Le Portel. Boulazac Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Provence Basket. Le Portel at the other side keeps the third position with 12 games lost. They share it with Bourg. Boulazac Basket is looking forward to face Provence Basket (#6) in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round. Le Portel will play at home against the league's leader Hyeres-Toulon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
