Regular Season Round 28: Ourense - Chantada 75-52

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Ourense (11-10) outplayed at home 10th ranked Chantada (6-16) 75-52 on Saturday. The game without a history. Ourense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Chantada's 28. Ourense forced 19 Chantada turnovers and outrebounded them 38-21 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for point guard Martin Rodriguez (182-96) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Cristian Iglesias (198-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Ourense players scored in double figures. Ourense's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Jacobo De Benito (180-90) replied with 22 points and 5 steals and swingman Josep Pacreu (197-78) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chantada. Ourense moved-up to fifth place in Group A-B. Chantada lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost.
