The game in Boyaca supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Sabios (8-6) played at the court of 7th ranked Patriotas (4-10). Sabios did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 86-66. Sabios outrebounded Patriotas 50-30 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international center John Hernandez (207-84) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Naturalized Venezuelan point guard David Reyes (188-83) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sabios players scored in double figures. American forward Titus Mims (201, college: Hardin-Simmons) produced 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks and his fellow American import power forward Aramie Brooks (203-87, college: Northwestern St.) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Patriotas' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sabios moved-up to third place, which they share with Bucaros. Defending champion Patriotas keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Sabios' next round opponent will be Bucaros (#4) in Bucaramanga. Patriotas will play at home against Condores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
