Regular Season Round 28: Barbera - Castellbisbal 51-55

There was a minor upset when 3rd ranked Barbera (11-8) lost to sixth ranked Castellbisbal (11-9) in Barcelona 51-55 on Saturday. Barbera was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of Castellbisbal, which allowed them to win the game. Quite impressive performance for guard Roger Guardia (193-85, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. Guard David Camacho (190-91) contributed with 8 points for the winners. Castellbisbal's coach Raul Martinez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Albert Mas (190-87) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Francesc Cairo (185-83) added 14 points (made all of his seven free throws) in the effort for Barbera. Castellbisbal moved-up to fifth place in Group C Perman. Barbera lost third consecutive game. Barbera at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with eight games lost. Castellbisbal will face Sant Lluis (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Barbera will play against the league's leader Miramar (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
