Semi-Finals Game 2: Groningen - Leiden 75-68

Date: May 3, 2016
Groningen rallied past Leiden to even the semifinal series at 1-1. It looked good early as Leiden took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Groningen had a 21-17 second period charge getting the lead and Leiden was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-75. Groningen players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Leiden's players. American point guard Lance Jeter (190-88, college: Nebraska) notched 8 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Jason Dourisseau (196-83, college: Nebraska) supported him with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds by the former international center Thomas Koenis (210-89, agency: Court Side) did not help to save the game for Leiden. International Worthy de Jong (194-88) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
