NBL top team - Toyota Alvark (47-8) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Dragonflies (16-38) in Tokyo 92-72. Toyota Alvark dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Dragonflies' 32. American forward Richard Solomon (208-92, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Toyota Alvark. They maintain first place with 47-8 record.
