Second Stage Round 8: Aalstar - Spirou 82-88

The biggest surprise of round 8 was guest Spirou Charleroi's (#2) road victory over Okapi Aalstar (#3) 88-82 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-82. The best player for the winners was American point guard Billy Baron (188-90, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 16 points and 7 assists. The other American import guard Jimmy Baron (191-86, college: Rhode Island) chipped in 16 points. American point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU, agency: Pensack Sports) produced 23 points and forward Vincent Kesteloot (201-95, agency: Priority Sports) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Spirou Charleroi maintains second position in League with 18-10 record having five points less than leader Oostende. Okapi Aalstar at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost.
