There was no surprise when 11th ranked Leuven Bears (6-24) were defeated at home by ninth ranked Kangoeroes (10-20) 95-86 on Saturday. Leuven Bears were trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 39-26 charge of Kangoeroes, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Vincent Simpson (185-88, college: Hampton) who added 16 points and 8 assists during the contest. Forward Thomas De Thaey (203-91, college: N.Carolina St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Andre Hollins (188-92, college: Minnesota, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kangoeroes maintains ninth position in League with 10-20 record. Loser Leuven Bears stay dead last with 24 lost games.
