Regular Season Round 33: Dijon - ASVEL 72-49
Date: May 7, 2016
There was a small surprise when ninth ranked JDA Dijon (20-13) rolled over at home 7th ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (20-13) 72-49. The game without a history. JDA Dijon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American point guard David Holston (168-86, college: Chicago St.) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. British forward Myles Hesson (198-90) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Darryl Watkins (211-84, college: Syracuse, agency: Inception Sports) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Nicolas Lang (199-90, agency: Beo Basket) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JDA Dijon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez and ASVEL. JDA Dijon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Chalon/Saor (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
