Eleventh-ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (7-19) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Frayles de Guasave (16-12) on Saturday. Frayles de Guasave managed to secure only three-point victory 92-89. However their fans expected much easier game. Frayles de Guasave looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a very good performance for swingman Tim Pickett (192-81, college: Florida St., agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Jordan Williams (198, college: N.Texas) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Frayles de Guasave players scored in double figures. Guard Tamir Jackson (190-90, college: Rice) answered with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Garra Canera de Navolato. Garra Canera de Navolato's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Frayles de Guasave moved-up to fourth place. Loser Garra Canera de Navolato stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Frayles de Guasave will face Vaqueros (#7) in Agua Prieta in the next round. Garra Canera de Navolato will play on the road against Fuerza Guinda Nogales (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
