There was no surprise when 9th ranked JAC Sants (7-13) was edged by fourth ranked Santfeliuenc (11-9) in Barcelona 77-76 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 26-21 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely JAC Sants outrebounded Santfeliuenc 33-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. Guard Lluis Molina (190-85) saved the victory by scoring 22 points. Canadian forward Bruce Komakech (204-91, college: Davis & Elkins) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Santfeliuenc's coach Mateo Rubio used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Adria Vazquez (183-89) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Sergi Marco (194-91) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for JAC Sants. Five JAC Sants players scored in double figures. Santfeliuenc maintains fourth place in Group C Titulo with 11-9 record. Loser JAC Sants keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost.
