Regular Season Round 32: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Maccabi K/G 72-81

Bottom-ranked Maccabi K/G managed to get a eleventh victory, breaking the four-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Maccabi K/G won against sixth-ranked Bnei Hasharon in Hod Hasharon 81-72. The guests were ahead by 7 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 18-7 run, which allowed them to win the game. Maccabi K/G dominated on the defensive end, holding Bnei Hasharon to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Forward DeShawn Sims (203-88, college: Michigan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Paul Delaney (188-86, college: UAB, agency: Three Eye Sports) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and guard Stephen Dennis (198-87, college: Kutztown, agency: HMS) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Maccabi K/G (11-21) moved-up to eleventh place. Bnei Hasharon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Maccabi Rishon. Maccabi K/G will play against higher ranked Maccabi Rishon (#7) in Rishon Le-Zion in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bnei Hasharon will play on the road against Hapoel Eilat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
