Regular Season Round 33: Charleville - Boulazac 75-92

Date: May 13, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Charleville-Mezieres (14-19) lost at home to fifth ranked Boulazac Basket (19-14) 92-75. The game was mostly controlled by Boulazac Basket. Charleville-Mezieres was better in second period 25-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Boulazac Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Alexis Tanghe (206-90) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American Christopher McKnight (201-87, college: Akron) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and Anthony Racine (190-94) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Boulazac Basket maintains fifth place with 19-14 record. Charleville-Mezieres lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Boulazac Basket's next round opponent will be SO Maritime Boulogne (#10) in Boulogne-sur-Mer which should be theoretically an easy game. Charleville-Mezieres will play on the road against Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer and hope to win that game.
