Tochigi Brex outgunned Mitsubishi DD to sweep the quarterfinal series. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Tochigi Brex's pressure prevailed and they won that period 21-9 extending their advantage to 17 points. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Takatoshi Furukawa (190-87) chipped in 23 points during the contest. Furukawa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. The former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
