Brescia cruised past Tortona in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by C.de Latte BRE. Tortona managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. C.de Latte BRE dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Tortona's 38 and made 18-of-19 free shots (94.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Tortona 37-24 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and American David Moss (196-83, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five C.de Latte BRE players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Derrick Marks (190-93, college: Boise St.) responded with 29 points and guard Marco Spissu (182-95) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
