Scafati held off Andrea Costa Imola for the second straight victory. It looked good early as Andrea Costa IM took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Scafati had a 28-12 second period charge getting the lead and Andrea Costa IM was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 62-78. They outrebounded Andrea Costa IM 47-35 including 32 on the defensive glass. Scafati players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Jeremy Simmons (204-89, college: Charleston) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Federico Loschi (197-90) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Four Scafati players scored in double figures. Even 7 points and 8 rebounds by the former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) did not help to save the game for Andrea Costa IM. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Patricio Prato (194-79) added 12 points for the guests.
